  1. Fix the pressure balanced tank at about 0 ~ 400mm higher than the mechanical seal
  2. Connect “a” and “c” with the metal hose packed with the pressure balance tank, where “a” is connected to the barrier fluid inlet of the mechanical seal and “c” is connected to the barrier fluid outlet.
  3. Add barrier liquid to the top hole of the rehydration pump on the right of the drawing.
  4. For “b” on the drawing, it is necessary to connect a ball valve to discharge the liquid in the pressure balanced tank during maintenance. If there is no ball valve on site, a plug can also be used to plug hole “b”.
  5. Check whether the pressure gauge at “d” is installed. If not, to install proper pressure gauge. The pressure in the reactor tank needs to be within the range of the pressure gauge. (The original pressure gauge is not in the range of actual pressure, so i send you another pressure gauge(0~6MPA) and threaded adapter packed with the system. You can find it in wooden case)
  6. Inject barrier liquid through hole “f” until it is more than two-thirds of the pressure balanced tank (in the six box in the drawing). After filling the liquid, close the cover.
  7. Inject nitrogen through “e” (1)until the value on the pressure gauge to be slightly higher than 0.1 ~ 0.2 MPa of the pressure in the reactor. (2) if the barrier liquid is not allowed to leak into the reactor, the pressure can be controlled to be lower than 0.1 ~ 0.2 MPa of the pressure in the reactor
  8. Connect “g” and“h”with proper pipe to imput cooling water. The purpose of inputing cooling water is to cool the barrier liquid of the pressure balanced tank.

Attention 

  1. If the value of the pressure gauge decreases during use, the barrier fluid may leak.
  2. If it is observed that the liquid in the pressure balanced tank is too fast decline through the “3”(liquid level detection glass) during use, the barrier liquid may leak. If there is slight and continuous leakage, it is normal. It is necessary to move the handle of the rehydration pump to rehydrate to the pressure balanced tank. While it is rehydrating, we should observe the liquid level in the tank through “3”(liquid level detection glass). If it reaches the position in the six box in the drawing, we can stop rehydration.
  3. The mechanical seal can only be started after the sealing system is set, otherwise the seal may fail.
  4. For barrier liquid, It is better to choose the liquid that does not have chemical reaction with the medium.
